Hi, and welcome to this new blog site. The aim is to supply information and ideas that you can use, if you wish, to assist you in making life changes. You can do this by evaluating the multiple facets of your life. Very many people today struggle with issues of stress and frustration, boredom and depression; relationship issues also. You’ll find here a wealth of material extracted from the works of experts in all these fields. Whatever you’re feeling, thinking, planning, or doing, someone has already been there , analysed, and written about it. Feel free to prove me wrong…. and drop an email or comment if that is the case. I will do my best to keep it entertaining. It will all be in plain, layman’s language. If you get easily bored you might actually find out why, if you stick around for a little while. Various aspects will be covered, to include health, wealth, mental and spiritual well- being. If you have questions like: ‘Why am I doing this job?’, ‘Where’s my life going?’ ‘What’s my life about?’, ‘Who am I?’, and so on – you’ve come to the right place. I won’t tell you what to do – it is your life. You’ll get help in finding and directing the steering wheel so you can drive your life forward.. You can use this site as a sat-nav tool. I will highlight pointers raised by psychologists over the last eighty years. This means you are not simply reading the random thoughts of some unknown bozo who has found a keyboard to play with. Most, if not all the psychologists quoted here, have concerned themselves with what constitutes happiness.
I have been studying Digital Media, and Social Media for some time now and am about to qualify with Diplomas in both fields. I am also completing a certificated course in The Science of Well-Being at Yale University, Connecticut USA. I sincerely hope we can have some fun together. Put away your PlayStation, tv remote or controller and engage with me. Your life is important to me. Is it important to you? If you think that sounds corny, please let me tell you a few things. Decades ago I spent money that I could ill afford on books and cassette tapes from motivational speakers. At the vanguard was Tony Robbins. When compact discs came out I bought his 30 disc set, costing hundreds of pounds. He constantly tells you that you, your life, and your success are crucial to him. Let me assure you that whether he actually means it or not, he has materially affected my life for the better. Simply by giving me the option of always seeing myself as being empowered, no matter what the situation. Also making me realise that if I truly want to succeed I am crystal clear in what it is that I need to do. I have followed his advice. I have failed BIG. Myself and my partner are still in debt some years after a previous business venture, to launch a nationwide chain of shops, collapsed. Here in the UK that is practically a fate worse than death in the eyes of your peers. I can assure you that I am happy, almost ridiculously so, and have been this way nearly all my life. I have also noticed that most people are not happy. Again I have also noticed that many people who have security, in terms of job security, property, savings, and overall lifestyle, are often deeply unhappy, insecure, and truth be told, downright depressed. My happiness is not founded or structured on alcohol or other drugs. As I am happy being happy, I would love nothing more than to invite you to join me in my happy state. I constantly invite people I know to join me there. When you are ‘double buzzing’ in the words of one of my children, you want to share that feeling with others. Welcome.
